The golden era and Facebook
Whats shakin yall its been a nice minute since i chefed up summin fro my blog and the other night my homeboy and i was talkin about 2 thing that brought me to this blog. #1 i've been shittin on facebook for the past 3 years didnt wanna use it, didnt understand it, just didnt get it, till the other day in the hood we had the appreciation day and i seen all these old people sayin "we gonna put that shit on facebook" and my 1st response was like wtf is so special about facebook. i started an account last nite and so far i dont seen niggas and ladies i havent seen since like junior high school and high school. i was just mad siked 4 a lil bit felt like an reunion (lol). so catch me on facebook but only if you know my gov't issue name lol. now to the major topic the golden era of hip hop which if your a fan of hip hop like i am the u know thats 1990-2000 (only reason y i include 2000 is because to me that was the last year that no matter what came out it was hot) and it saddens me to see that the same vibe from that major era in hip hop doesnt apply in the new age of rap music. i mean come on lets be serious when's the last time you actually brought an album not off itunes like the actual cd and say that the whole album from beginning to end was some ill shit. nothing out can compare to classics like reasonable doubt, enter the wu-tang 36 chambers, the shining, illmatic, whut the album ect... only reason why these along with a whole era full of albums are considered classic is cause the culture of hip hop music at that time wasnt really on a mainstream level, so the rawness and uniqueness in the music was just so hard that you couldnt listen to it but yo couldnt turn away from it. there will never be another n.w.a, no one can replace what rahkim has givin to hip hop, and honestly as much as jay-z talks that retirement shit, none of these new niggas can even give the lyrical catalog that hov has givin 2 us all these summers. i miss hip hop when it was fun to act a fool, when what you said stood out more then the chain u rockin or the hos in the video, or even better when a whole bunch of niggas ca sit on the bench late nite and recite the whole album even the fuckin skits. to all my unsigned and underground heads we are all that hip hop has left, we cant let the corporate industry kill of our music and if i was 2 ever meet any of these overnight fshpatty ass niggas, i'd slap the shit outta them and shout " WHAT THE FUCK IS UR PROBLEM?" lol. well my fingers is gettin into lazy mode but yall enjoy your days and dont listen to the raido if you know they gonna bump the same shit all day every day. discover something new, like that sayin goes the more you know the more you grow..........Dipseys
